Lisboa subdivide-se em 24 freguesias e possui uma das suas maiores atracções a sudeste, onde se situa o estuário do Sado.
Quando falamos da capital, não podemos deixar de falar da sua história, já que esta cidade teve um grande destaque nos Descobrimentos portugueses. Foi em Lisboa que se deu origem à descoberta do Brasil, África, entre outros.
No dia 1 de Novembro de 1755, Lisboa foi arrasada por um grande terramoto, ficando, assim, uma cidade quase irreconhecível. Após esta tragédia, todos os esforços foram feitos no âmbito de recuperar a cidade e dar novo rumo a todos os que foram afectados por esta tragédia.
Durante o século XIX, e já estando tudo dentro da normalidade, as velhas ruas da Baixa da cidade já tinham sido ocupadas, foram criadas muitas lojas e clubes, que rapidamente deram uma nova vida à cidade de Lisboa. Estabeleceram-se ainda lojas de moda de Paris e outras lojas de luxo, grandes armazéns e novos cafés Luso-Italianos, como por exemplo o "Café Do Chiado".
No século XX, deu-se a ascensão de Lisboa em termos culturais, onde as touradas e o fado se transformaram em espectáculos de entretenimento para o povo. A estes juntam-se também o teatro popular e o teatro de revista, sendo este último uma ideia vinda de Paris.
Geograficamente, Lisboa faz inveja a qualquer cidade! Para além do seu clima bastante apreciado, está localizada junto ao rio Tejo, Lisboa é a capital mais ocidental da Europa. Fica situada a oeste de Portugal, na costa do Oceano Atlântico.
